 Fresh, forward-thinking EP from LV, heralding their imminent and eagerly anticipated
 album for Hyperdub. Lead track Sebenza sees them calling once again on the talents of
 South African vocalist Okmalumkoolkat. His urgent, enervated phrasing lends extra
 energy to the track's stripped, killer construction - heavy subs, kwaito-ish snares
 and lurching synth stabs. He appears on two further tracks: the immaculately
 low-slung 'Zulu Compurar', which at first sounds rooted in familiar slo-house rollage
 but ultimately shakes free of any box you try to put it in, and the front-loaded
 futureboogie of digital bonus track 'Diamonds', whose electro zaps, Detroit-styled
 strings, jazzy inflections and liquid bassline nod to the finest early 2000s broken
 beat. On an instrumental tip, LV team up with Mumdance for 'Get A Grip', a bashy,
 unreconstructed UKF bomb, all swaggering tribal drum patterns, haywire sirens,
 well-judged wobble and some choice digi-Caribbean riffage. A wicked EP, one of the
 most interesting and confident entries in the UK soundsystem canon we've heard all
 year.
